........ Friday 1st April 2011. Three painters rolled into sleepy Lynmouth and got out their easels.
Paul Kenton, Bob Braunton and
Steve Pleydell-Pearce, set up along the harbour wall, and proceeded to paint the first of many outdoor plein air oil studies. after a cloudy start the Spring sunshine soon made it's mark on the sheer seacliffs across the bay, revealing a stunning display of colours.
PK soon got a full head of steam up and was putting down some beautiful blocked in tones and colour notes.
After a few hours the morning's work was done. A promising start to a good three day painting trip, and this was only the beginning, more painters were on their way.
